Privacy notice
Short version: this site itself collects almost nothing. Payment and order data is handled by the manufacturer's checkout partner, and what reaches Ohio Valley Supply Partners, Inc. is what we need to ship a parcel and answer for it afterwards.
What this website collects
Pages on the SlimBound portal are static. There is no account, no login, no comment system and no form that stores anything on our servers. The contact form opens your own email client; nothing is transmitted to us until you press send in that client. Standard server logs record an IP address, a timestamp and a requested page for security and capacity purposes, and are discarded on a rolling basis.
What the checkout partner collects
When you order, checkout runs on the manufacturer's authorized payment partner. That partner collects your name, delivery address, email address and payment details, and it processes the card. We never see full card numbers at any point and we cannot retrieve them.
What we receive and keep
To ship and support a SlimBound order we receive your name, delivery address, email address, the package record you bought and the order reference. We keep that for as long as the guarantee and ordinary accounting obligations require, then we delete it. Emails you send to the records desk are kept with the order so a later question can be answered without you repeating yourself.
Who else sees it
Three categories, no others. The carrier receives your name and address in order to deliver. The checkout partner holds the payment record. Our accountants see order totals for tax purposes, without your contact details. We do not sell, rent, trade or share customer data with advertisers, data brokers or affiliates, and there is no arrangement under which we ever would.
Cookies
The SlimBound portal sets no advertising or analytics cookies. Your browser holds one session flag if you dismiss the offer bar at the bottom of the page, which lives in session storage and disappears when you close the tab. The checkout partner sets its own cookies on its own domain and publishes its own notice there.
SlimBound order confirmations and shipping notices are transactional and are sent because you bought something. We do not run a marketing list from this portal, so there is nothing to unsubscribe from. We also do not pass your address to any other SlimBound-related site, because there are none we operate.
Your requests
Write to [email protected] to see what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. We answer inside 30 days and usually within two business days. Deletion requests that would break a live order or an open refund are held until that closes, and we tell you when it does. Depending on where you live you may have additional statutory rights, and we apply them on request rather than asking you to prove your state of residence.
Children
SlimBound is for adults over 18. This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly hold data about them.
Security
The site is served over TLS. We will never ask for card numbers, full bank details or passwords by email or telephone. Anyone who does is not us; forward the message to [email protected].
Changes and contact
